NUI Galway's Blackboard site is enhanced by the 'Ally' tool. This, as the video above explains, allows any materials posted up onto a Blackboard site to be automatically converted into a range of different formats to improve accessibility for users with varying needs. Amongst the conversions are from Word or PDF to audio (mp3), and smaller file formats. 

This tool has had an impact on both learners and those teaching courses, and it helps to promote the principles of inclusiveness and accessibility.
