Known Issue: Error Message in Turnitin Inbox

Some instructors are encountering errors in the Turnitin assignment inbox. This error message reads: ‘The membership service failed to initialise Click here for details 




If you are unable to locate a student’s assignment within that inbox, we suggest using Turnitin.com following these instructions as a workaround. Please do not mark work on Turnitin.com, as it will not transfer to Blackboard. Marks can manually be entered into the Blackboard Grade Centre. 

This error can be caused by accessing Turntin through Student Preview mode in Blackboard. It has been documented that users should not access Turnitin under Student Preview. See our instructions for more information.
