H5P at NUI Galway

H5P is an interactive authoring tool now available in Blackboard. A full site license for all 'instructors' has been provided for this academic year.

This tool has been adopted and supported as part of the IUA Enhancing Digital Teaching and Learning project, which is managed locally by Kate Molloy Contact Kate for more information or to join the H5P Teams Channel.

H5P Content Types

There are a wide variety of H5P content types. Examples of these content types can be found on H5P.org. Look through the examples to decide which content types might best suit your needs: https://h5p.org/content-types-and-applications

H5P Tutorials for Authors

H5P in Blackboard

H5P OER Hub

The newly launched H5P OER Hub provides authors with the opportunity to reuse and share open educational resources all within Blackboard. To begin working with the OER Hub, please follow H5P's documentation.

When you go to create H5P content on Blackboard, you will now be given an option to browse for open content as pictured below.

H5P Live Engagement Tools

In the June 2021 update, H5P launched new tools for live engagement, including multipoll, word cloud, and emoji cloud. You can learn more about these tools in the video below.
